Urge Congress and FERC to adopt the Trump energy plan!

We are at the crisis point.

Two-thirds of the United States is in an ice box, demonstrating the importance of coal and nuclear energy to provide reliable electricity and heat in times when the system is stressed like this week's blizzard. Congress and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) need to approve President Trump's energy plan to ensure that reliable and resilient coal and nuclear power remain the critical part of our nation's electricity grid.

For the first time in at least a decade, a new coal mine opened last year in Pennsylvania. Only one new nuclear power plant has come online in the past 20 years. In the meantime, the federal government has waged a war on coal with crushing regulations that is taxing our grid capacity, which has not grown at all in a decade even as residential use was increasing.

Without the Trump energy plan, the economy cannot grow and enough new, good-paying jobs cannot be created without expanding the grid particularly in the industrial sector with coal and nuclear. If America wants to be a manufacturing powerhouse again, we need more power, and expanding the use of coal and nuclear to fuel this expansion just makes sense.

Congress and FERC must approve the Trump energy plan.

Most of our leaders don't understand that the only source of true wealth is in natural resources that come out of the ground. Think about it.

Energy independence is both economically and national security smart. NO other country is sidelining their energy resources to serve "global warming" hysteria.

If you think that you have lessened our carbon foot print on GOD’s green earth you are living in a fantasy world. All that has happened is that our carbon foot print has moved to Mexico, Canada, South America, China, and all of the former Russian block countries. In this you have lowered our economic output and lowered our standard of living. All these countries thank you for selling out your constituents.

Please consider doing what is best for the American people. While renewable, alternative energy sources are exciting, they are still in development. They are simply not ready for use on a massive scale. America needs to be energy independent and adequately supplied with its energy needs today.

Coal is never bad with clean way we burn it. It is China and others that do not use scrubbers I believe all home owners should be allowed to heat with wood too..

You cannot have a secure and dependable electrical grid with only renewables. You need fossil fuels and nuclear power. Less regulations the better for this country, you politicians are far from knowledgeable, Term limits please!!!!

Ease the regulations, and go nuclear. It's already proven and the safety is proven as well.

The least expensive, most reliable forms of energy are the way to prosperity for all. The totalitarian left, which includes the Democratic Party, wants to end poverty by making energy more expensive for the poor, which makes more people poor.

It is time that the United States take starts using the resources of coal and develop more nuclear power. We cannot continue to not develop more energy for this country.

I have worked for years in the Nuclear industry and everyone should be aware. The incidents like 3 Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukushima cannot happen with US plant design currently in operation. In fact the regulation and redundancy is extremely excessive. Multiple meetings and sign offs are required to change a relay brand. Entire plants are in jeopardy of closing if a manufacturer goes out of business an alternate cannot be used without major documentation and NRCC approval. We could recycle the fuel and do hot swaps as the French do. France has the most advanced and efficient Nuclear Power on earth. Most of their energy is Nuclear. That's how they afford tremendous social services. Energy costs are cheaper than dirt. Congress get a commission to examine the French system and utilize it.

Wind & Solar work (sometimes), but they are seriously not financially acceptable. We taxpayers should not have to pay dollars to get pennies back (think Solindra), and it is insane for a nuclear plant to take 10- 20 years for approval and building. Finally, drilling works for us.....and the rest of the world!!!!! So drill, all we can!!!
