Urge Congress to keep President Trump's promise and build the wall now!

Make a promise, keep a promise.

President Donald Trump ran on building the southern border wall, and the Republican Congress needs to fund it in the 2018 spending bill.

On Jan. 27, 2017, House Speaker Paul Ryan told the American people that, "This is something, [the wall], we want to get on right away. And so we do believe this is urgent. We believe this is one of the most important promises the President made running for office. It's a promise he's going to keep and it's a promise we're going to help him keep."

Ryan added, “We anticipate a supplemental coming from the administration on defense and the border” and “I’m hoping in the first quarter we can get this done. But again, it’s getting [Mick Mulvaney confirmed as Office of Management and Budget Director and] up and running so they can send us the supplemental.”

Mulvaney was confirmed on Feb. 16 and the supplemental request was proposed on March 14 by Mulvaney and then formally put in on March 16 by President Trump to Speaker Ryan. Trump kept his side of the bargain. But somehow, by March 30, Ryan had changed his tune, telling CBS News, “The big chunk of money for the wall really is… next fiscal year’s appropriations because they literally can’t start construction even this quickly.”

The wall was not funded in the September spending bill either. Then, Ryan called a government shutdown “not necessary” when in fact it may be the only way to get the wall built. He and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell promised $12 billion to $15 billion for the wall a year ago. Now we'll be lucky to get the $1 billion supplemental that was already supposed to pass in April.

Ryan has already moved the goal posts three times, and we can't let him do it again. He is locked in to provide the funding for the wall now. Time's up. Congress is rapidly losing credibility on implementing any parts of the Trump agenda that won the election in 2016. Congress has to keep its word and build the wall!

You know what to do! Let’s urge Congress to build the southern border wall just like they promised.

The GOP Congress needs to keep Trump’s promise on the wall, for failure would be a politically devastating betrayal of the voters that who elected both President Trump and the GOP majorities in the House and Senate.

Whatever it takes, the GOP Congress must get that wall built. And they should get it done now!

It is the Federal Governments responsibility to protect our country. A border fence or wall will greatly move us forward to that end.

We in American are tired of the corrupt self serving political system (both parties) that has systematically destroyed our country for the last 30 YEARS. You can either help save our country or look for new jobs and as far as I am concerned I would start trials for high treason against the greatest majority of politicians... If you think what I say is wrong roll up your sleeves, walk through the neighborhoods of America and ask people face to face how they feel about you and what you do to our country everyday and I am not talking about the welfare areas or the wealthy areas I am talking about the enslaved middle class that you have destroyed…

"We have been, and propose to be, more and more American. We believe that we can best serve our own country and most successfully discharge our obligations to humanity by continuing to be openly and candidly, intensely and scrupulously, American. If we have any heritage, it has been that. If we have any destiny, we have found it in that direction." "All artificial distinctions of lineage and rank are cast aside. We all rejoice in the title of Americans. But this is not done by discarding the teachings and beliefs or the character which have contributed to the strength and progress of the peoples from which our various strains derived their origin, but rather from the acceptance of all their good qualities and their adaptation to the requirements of our institutions. None of those who come here are required to leave any good qualities behind, but they are rather required to strengthen and fortify them and supplement them with such additional good qualities as they find among us. While it is eminently proper for us to glory in our origin and to cherish with pride the contributions which our race has made to the common progress of humanity, we can not put too much emphasis on the fact that in this country we are all bound together in a common destiny. We must all be united as one people. This principle works both ways. As we do not recognize any inferior races, so we do not recognize any superior races. We all stand on an equality of rights and of opportunity, each deriving just honor from his own worth and accomplishments." -President Calvin Coolidge

Just listening to Secretary Kelly at Washington University. They have already stopped over 250 TONS of Crack Cocain' heading into our Contry. This is scratching the surface. They have saved over 4,000 lives the illegal Coyotes dumped in our Desert. We must build the Wall to save lives. Only those that don't care about People and American People reject the Wall. They most likely are already addicted to these Tons of Drugs. BUILD THE WALL..

Protecting our Citizens from ILLEGAL entry of migrants should be a priority. My grandparents came to this country and had to learn to speak and write English in order to take their citizenship exam. They were proud to do so and became AMERICANS through the legal process. This should be the requirement for all those who want to live and work in the U.S.
