Urge Congress to keep President Trump's promise and build the wall now!

Make a promise, keep a promise.

President Donald Trump ran on building the southern border wall, and the Republican Congress needs to fund it in the 2019 spending bill.

On Jan. 27, 2017, House Speaker Paul Ryan told the American people that, "This is something, [the wall], we want to get on right away. And so we do believe this is urgent. We believe this is one of the most important promises the President made running for office. It's a promise he's going to keep and it's a promise we're going to help him keep."

Ryan added, “We anticipate a supplemental coming from the administration on defense and the border” and “I’m hoping in the first quarter we can get this done. But again, it’s getting [Mick Mulvaney confirmed as Office of Management and Budget Director and] up and running so they can send us the supplemental.”

Mulvaney was confirmed on Feb. 16 and the supplemental request was proposed on March 14 by Mulvaney and then formally put in on March 16 by President Trump to Speaker Ryan. Trump kept his side of the bargain. But somehow, by March 30, Ryan had changed his tune, telling CBS News, “The big chunk of money for the wall really is… next fiscal year’s appropriations because they literally can’t start construction even this quickly.”

The wall was not funded in the September spending bill either. Then, Ryan called a government shutdown “not necessary” when in fact it may be the only way to get the wall built. He and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell promised $12 billion to $15 billion for the wall a year ago. Now, all they've got done is the President's $1.6 billion supplemental he asked for last year.

September may be the last chance to get it done and fully fund the wall while Republicans still control Congress with the midterms up in November.

Ryan has already moved the goal posts four times, and we can't let him do it again. He is locked in to provide the funding for the wall now. Time's up. Congress is rapidly losing credibility on implementing any parts of the Trump agenda that won the election in 2016. Congress has to keep its word and build the wall!

You know what to do! Let’s urge Congress to build the southern border wall just like they promised.

The GOP Congress needs to keep Trump’s promise on the wall, for failure would be a politically devastating betrayal of the voters that who elected both President Trump and the GOP majorities in the House and Senate.

Whatever it takes, the GOP Congress must get that wall built. And they should get it done now!

It is clear Ryan/McConnell do not want the wall, thereby exposing their true agenda which is -- Let America be run over and let's run over American law and order. These people are termites and want termites (illegals) to destroy our country. Let's get back to American law and order. No other country would abide the rampant illegal immigration that Ryan/McConnell and Company foster.

Building the wall on the southern border is important do to the flow of illegal grugs, as well as undocumented aliens. Consider our middle east enemies right across our border with no way to stop them. If we were able to stop in illegal immigration and return those that are now in our country, it would amount to a reduction spending a minimum of $250,000,000,000 to support schools, police, prisons, food programs, shelter, etc. You can't complain about the spending, if you are unwilling to recognize those things that cause it and use the rule of law to rid yourself of the spending deficit.

Ryan is a RINO, he is not working to help Trump. He help back 2200 pages of the bill until only one day for the members to read it. The GOP seems to be helping the left win. WHY?

OK then, be compassionate and give a legal pathway for anchor babies to earn their citizenship to America, but do not just give it to them. They should have to take the same necessary steps every naturalized citizen has had to take! Give them 3 years to complete, and if they chose not to do so, then deport them. Allow the onus to be upon the dreamer if they truly have allegiance to our country. Protect America and her citizens, please BUILD THAT WALL!

Building the wall is the key, then eliminating chain migration, ending visa lottery, and requiring eVerify for all employers. DACA deal comes only when all these are in place.

Republicans, I agree your credibility is on the line. Stand by Mr. Trump the President the majority of Americans voted for legally. He is not in the oval office due to collusion with Russia. For over a year the Democrats have tried to prove a false story. It is a waste of Democratic time and money and frankly a waste of our time. I never listen to CNN, NBC or any other news station that continues to probe into a story that is not true. They should look at their own people and clean house. Just like the false book "Fire & Fury". If anyone believes that Trump did not want to be President then why have would anyone work as hard as he did beating out 17 others and he worked 24/7 as he went around the country to speak and meet with Americans across the country. The Democrats tried to prove that he was in collusion with Russia. I think the Dems have all lost their minds. They don't have an agenda & for us it is just as well because they will never get back in office. They spend all their time running down a man who is finally getting something done.

The Wall should have been built by now. It has been approved but Congress have been too busy lining their pockets to get something done that would be effective and save some money. Maybe they could help balance the budget if they got away from the cost of paying immigrants that want to kill us.
