Urge Congress to keep President Trump's promise and build the wall now!

Make a promise, keep a promise.

President Donald Trump ran on building the southern border wall, and the Republican Congress needs to fund it in the 2018 spending bill.

On Jan. 27, 2017, House Speaker Paul Ryan told the American people that, "This is something, [the wall], we want to get on right away. And so we do believe this is urgent. We believe this is one of the most important promises the President made running for office. It's a promise he's going to keep and it's a promise we're going to help him keep."

Ryan added, “We anticipate a supplemental coming from the administration on defense and the border” and “I’m hoping in the first quarter we can get this done. But again, it’s getting [Mick Mulvaney confirmed as Office of Management and Budget Director and] up and running so they can send us the supplemental.”

Mulvaney was confirmed on Feb. 16 and the supplemental request was proposed on March 14 by Mulvaney and then formally put in on March 16 by President Trump to Speaker Ryan. Trump kept his side of the bargain. But somehow, by March 30, Ryan had changed his tune, telling CBS News, “The big chunk of money for the wall really is… next fiscal year’s appropriations because they literally can’t start construction even this quickly.”

The wall was not funded in the September spending bill either. Then, Ryan called a government shutdown “not necessary” when in fact it may be the only way to get the wall built. He and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell promised $12 billion to $15 billion for the wall a year ago. Now we'll be lucky to get the $1 billion supplemental that was already supposed to pass in April.

Ryan has already moved the goal posts three times, and we can't let him do it again. He is locked in to provide the funding for the wall now. Time's up. Congress is rapidly losing credibility on implementing any parts of the Trump agenda that won the election in 2016. Congress has to keep its word and build the wall!

You know what to do! Let’s urge Congress to build the southern border wall just like they promised.

The GOP Congress needs to keep Trump’s promise on the wall, for failure would be a politically devastating betrayal of the voters that who elected both President Trump and the GOP majorities in the House and Senate.

Whatever it takes, the GOP Congress must get that wall built. And they should get it done now!

Illegal aliens are costing us 100s of billions of dollars in taxpayer-funded services. Many of them are also contributing to the millions of illegal alien votes during election cycles, most of whom vote for Democrats. A border wall would easily pay for itself in a few months.

It's time to seriously drain the swamp ... non-cooperatives, RHINOS, "those sitting do nothings" and others of worthless fashion ... it is time for you to leave the office and duty you swore to uphold and defend the constitution and represent those who elected you, by cooperating and bringing consensus to reality.

We the AMERICAN CITIZENS voted for the WALL! Even with illegals voting for hillariuos we WON. If you expect to stay in office in the next election cycle you should get on board with Pres TRUMP and us now. And Pres TRUMP should bar congress from receiving the ACA waiver and NO LAWS SHALL BE WRITTEN BY CONGRESS WHERE THEY ARE EXEMPT!

Along with so many disappointed Republicans, I am sick and tired of the Republican "leadership- Big joke!) reneging on their so called promises in three successive elections, to do something. For God Sake, support your President!

As a Republican voter I am feeling more and more betrayed by the Republicans in Congress and especially the RINO's. You are disrespecting our vote, our wishes. We voted Trump in based on his promises and the wall was and is a huge promise. Build it!

First the life of me, I don't understand. You have the House, the Senate, and the White House and CANNOT get one bill passed. I hope there is a way President Trump can force ALL of you to live under Obomacare instead of your premium medical insurance policies that you voted for yourselves. The only thing you all know how to do is spend our money and that you do well and can agree upon, especially if it benefits you. If the wall is not built, tax reform is not passed, and the other promises President Trump said he would do are not done, guess who will be blamed......not the President. You weren't put in office to take vacations. Put on your big boy/girl britches on and get to work!

It is clear that the real obstructionists in congress are all the RINO/s, beginning with Paul Ryan, Rep McCarthy and too many others. Mitch McConnel in the senate is also guilty of letting the american people down. We will remember in 2018 that you lying scum so called reps, are going to pay. You will lose your cushy fake jobs and I don't think this is something that will be forgotten. Do your damn jobs!!! We want the WALL..

Frankly I am tired of being lied to by congress. Republicans need to grow a spine and do what is right. Congress needs to be more afraid of constiuets rather than being afraid of the Democrats.

I am so sick and tired of the one man show in Washington for the past 8 months, the Donald Trump show. He seems to be the only one in Washington working while congress seems to always be on some sort of vacation or break. Do your damn jobs up there and represent the people who gave you all of this time off. I expect the democrats to drag their feet unless it's a pet project for them but for you republicans to neglect those of us who were promised so much just remember, President Trump has opened our eyes to the way of the beltway and we don't like it. Just remember, the primaries are just around the corner and if you do-nothings want to keep your jobs then build the wall, get rid of Obamacare and do everything else you promised us!!!

I don't why we continue to elect people who don't keep their promises. I fear that its more important for Congress to keep lining their pockets by doing what special interest groups, lobbyists, and donors want them to do. It seems that the Wall is not important and its ok for drugs, criminals, etc. come and go as they choose. Its ok to take our lives, steal, abuse our children, take over our country. I don't think Congress is going to do anything that will restore our country.

There will always be some major problem arising in America . Address the promises made , that got you guys elected . If your unable to keep your promises than perhaps the people voted for the wrong politicians .Your actions or should I say in actions have shown your true positions and there not for your constituents . Your failure to support and work with President Donald Trump shows that you are not working for Americas best interests or her Sovereignty . Comes 2018 if there are no positive results I hope that there will be big changes in the Roll Call of names in the House and Senate for the Republican Party.

I consider building the wall a promise made by all Republicans. I won't vote for people who break their promises to the electorate. Please don't make me stay home for an election! I would rather vote for a Republican who keeps his promises.
