Urge Congress to keep President Trump's promise and build the wall now!

Make a promise, keep a promise.

President Donald Trump ran on building the southern border wall, and the Republican Congress needs to fund it in the 2018 spending bill.

On Jan. 27, 2017, House Speaker Paul Ryan told the American people that, "This is something, [the wall], we want to get on right away. And so we do believe this is urgent. We believe this is one of the most important promises the President made running for office. It's a promise he's going to keep and it's a promise we're going to help him keep."

Ryan added, “We anticipate a supplemental coming from the administration on defense and the border” and “I’m hoping in the first quarter we can get this done. But again, it’s getting [Mick Mulvaney confirmed as Office of Management and Budget Director and] up and running so they can send us the supplemental.”

Mulvaney was confirmed on Feb. 16 and the supplemental request was proposed on March 14 by Mulvaney and then formally put in on March 16 by President Trump to Speaker Ryan. Trump kept his side of the bargain. But somehow, by March 30, Ryan had changed his tune, telling CBS News, “The big chunk of money for the wall really is… next fiscal year’s appropriations because they literally can’t start construction even this quickly.”

The wall was not funded in the September spending bill either. Then, Ryan called a government shutdown “not necessary” when in fact it may be the only way to get the wall built. He and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell promised $12 billion to $15 billion for the wall a year ago. Now we'll be lucky to get the $1 billion supplemental that was already supposed to pass in April.

Ryan has already moved the goal posts three times, and we can't let him do it again. He is locked in to provide the funding for the wall now. Time's up. Congress is rapidly losing credibility on implementing any parts of the Trump agenda that won the election in 2016. Congress has to keep its word and build the wall!

You know what to do! Let’s urge Congress to build the southern border wall just like they promised.

The GOP Congress needs to keep Trump’s promise on the wall, for failure would be a politically devastating betrayal of the voters that who elected both President Trump and the GOP majorities in the House and Senate.

Whatever it takes, the GOP Congress must get that wall built. And they should get it done now!

OK then, be compassionate and give a legal pathway for anchor babies to earn their citizenship to America, but do not just give it to them. They should have to take the same necessary steps every naturalized citizen has had to take! Give them 3 years to complete, and if they chose not to do so, then deport them. Allow the onus to be upon the dreamer if they truly have allegiance to our country. Protect America and her citizens, please BUILD THAT WALL!

Building the wall is the key, then eliminating chain migration, ending visa lottery, and requiring eVerify for all employers. DACA deal comes only when all these are in place.
