Urge Congress to keep President Trump's promise and build the wall now!

Make a promise, keep a promise.

President Donald Trump ran on building the southern border wall, and the Republican Congress needs to fund it in the 2019 spending bill this December.

On Jan. 27, 2017, House Speaker Paul Ryan told the American people that, "This is something, [the wall], we want to get on right away. And so we do believe this is urgent. We believe this is one of the most important promises the President made running for office. It's a promise he's going to keep and it's a promise we're going to help him keep."

Ryan added, “We anticipate a supplemental coming from the administration on defense and the border” and “I’m hoping in the first quarter we can get this done. But again, it’s getting [Mick Mulvaney confirmed as Office of Management and Budget Director and] up and running so they can send us the supplemental.”

Mulvaney was confirmed on Feb. 16 and the supplemental request was proposed on March 14 by Mulvaney and then formally put in on March 16 by President Trump to Speaker Ryan. Trump kept his side of the bargain. But somehow, by March 30, Ryan had changed his tune, telling CBS News, “The big chunk of money for the wall really is… next fiscal year’s appropriations because they literally can’t start construction even this quickly.”

The wall was not funded in the September spending bill either. Then, Ryan called a government shutdown “not necessary” when in fact it may be the only way to get the wall built. He and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell promised $12 billion to $15 billion for the wall a year ago. Now, all they've got done is the President's $1.6 billion supplemental he asked for last year.

September may be the last chance to get it done and fully fund the wall while Republicans still control Congress with Nancy Pelosi taking over the House in January.

The goal posts have already been moved four times. Time's up. Congress has to keep its word and build the wall!

You know what to do! Let’s urge Congress to build the southern border wall just like they promised.

The GOP Congress needs to keep Trump’s promise on the wall before Nancy Pelosi takes over the House!

Whatever it takes, the GOP Congress must get that wall built, including shutting down the government if necessary. And they should get it done now!

Please know that President Trump's supporting base and million of others are supporting the continued building of the border security wall in the needed regions along our US SW border. We support the President to not sign this latest CR until the wall funding he requested is fully met for the security goals that the people voted the President in office to achieve.

The thought of illegal aliens constantly invading our country [to give birth to anchor babies, to collect taxpayer-funded welfare benefits, to push their drugs onto our young people, to abuse our system to get free health care and free education, to bring their culture of criminality, to smuggle poor and uneducated people across the border, to overpopulate our prison system, to rape women and children] fills me with rage and keeps me up at night. Whatever it takes, The INVASION HAS GOT TO STOP!! I would be happy for President Trump to shut down the government indefinitely if it would mean getting the border wall. Whatever it takes, The WALL MUST BE BUILT!!

I am 100% in agreement that we need to build the wall and that President Trump has the interest of the people at heart. A real wall, like what Israel has built. National security should be the #1 goal of our Congress. I'm disappointed in Congress members who think they know better than "we the people". Please get behind our President and vote yes on the $5 billion funds to build the wall.

All Actual Americans are in favor of National Security. It is nearly the only Constitutional reason for Federal government. American National Security would only be hampered by traitors.

You wonder why the republicans lost this house? Look in the mirror and ask yourself how well you represented your constituents views and desires this last two years. We voted for Trump to fix our nation's problems and congress has stood in the way. BUILD THE WALL and pass THE MERIT ACT NOW!!!!!
