Urge Congress to sustain President Trump's veto of bill blocking the wall!
President Trump needs your help to sustain his veto of a resolution by Congress that would block him from building the wall under his national emergency declaration.
These days, Congress is not getting much done to help President Trump Make America Great Again including building the wall, but he still has one card to play.
And that is to veto any spending bill and force Congress to vote on overriding it. A vote to sustain the veto is a vote for the wall, and a vote to override the veto is a vote against the wall.
Then, to get the wall, Trump doesn’t need 218 votes in the House, he needs 146. And he doesn’t need 60 votes in the Senate, he needs 34. That’s what the separation of powers provides for.
President Ronald Reagan got tax cuts and defense spending increases by blocking spending bills, resulting in a total of eight partial government shutdowns. And he had the votes to sustain vetoes when he needed. In 1983, 146 House members signed a letter saying they would vote to sustain presidential vetoes on funding bills.
In the end, there may be no other way to force a vote on the wall that means anything — or anything else. Urge your Representative and Senators to support sustaining President Trump's veto on spending bills.

Dear U.S. Senators and U.S. Representative:
Congress wants to stop President Trump from building the wall by blocking his national emergency declaration that calls for reprogamming $8.1 billion of military construction funds under the National Emergencies Act. And now President Trump is vetoing it.
A vote to sustain the veto is a vote for the wall, and a vote to override the veto is a vote against the wall.
To get the wall, Trump doesn’t need 218 votes in the House, he needs 146. And he doesn’t need 60 votes in the Senate, he needs 34. That’s what the separation of powers provides for.
In the end, the vote to sustain the veto is the only vote on the wall that means anything. Please vote to sustain President Trump's veto of the resolution blocking his emergency declaration, and of any future spending bills, to keep America safe.
Sincerely, YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS
